M. shabodeho@aol.com April 14, 2012, 6:35 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on April 8, 2012 Paul R. Shuey ANNVILLE Paul R. Shuey, 90, of the Countryside Christian Community, and formerly of E. Hanover Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the home. He was the husband of the late Arlene J. Heck Shuey. Born in E. Hanover Twp., on September 5, 1921, he was the son of the late Elmer and Annie Ruth Shuey. He was a member of the Ono United Methodist Church and was never ashamed of sharing his faith to those he met. Paul was also a member of the Mt. Olivet Lodge #704, the Harrisburg Consistory, and the Zembo Shrine. He retired as the owner and operator of the Shuey's Body Works in E. Hanover Twp., and served on the Board of the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center, as President of the Lebanon County Auto Body Association, President of the Automotive Service Council of PA, and served on the National Board of the Automotive Service Council. He was instrumental in having legislation passed to improve consumer rights in the auto body industry. Paul was well respected in the community and with his associates. He is survived by his daughter, Linda A., wife of Corbin Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Louana Szewczak; and his sisters, Irene Drake and Margaret Richards. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Ono United Methodist Church. Viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, and prior to the service at the church.
