  PALMYRA Mary Virginia "Ginger" Smolke, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, 
  August 3, 2012, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. She was born Monday, 
  November 7, 1949 in Ashland, to Mary Margaret (Fleming) and the late John 
  Joseph Smolke. In addition to her mother, she is survived by seven children: 
  Steven J. Stabinger and wife Kim of Lancaster, John M. Stabinger and wife Jen 
  of Emmaus, Brian E. Stabinger of St. Paul, Minn., Matthew J. Stabinger and wife 
  Michelle of Lebanon, Ginny A. Hostetter and husband Joel of Palmyra, Kelcey M. 
  Bucks and husband Daniel of Lebanon, and Mary-Virginia J. Salzano and husband 
  Anthony of North Wales; 10 grandchildren: Dakota, Madison, Carter, Connell, 
  Cole, and Brock Stabinger, Skylyn and Regan Hostetter, and Makayla and Landen 
  Bucks; and a brother, John Joseph Smolke. She was predeceased by a sister, 
  Sarah A. Smolke. Ginger was a member of The Church of the Holy Spirit. She was 
  an avid reader, loving books from all genres. She devoted the last twelve years 
  of her life as the training specialist for Allegheny Valley School. She lived a 
  simple life and was a loving family woman. A graveside service will be private 
  and held at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho 
  Township. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & 
  Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
  contributions may be made in Ginger's honor to Hospice of Lancaster County, Pa.
