M. shabodeho@aol.com August 13, 2012, 12:26 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 2, 2012 Carl A. Stohler, 71, formerly of Akron, died Monday July 30, 2012, in the Mt. Hope Home.He was born in Lebanon on May 5, 1941, a son of the late Harvey and Mary Rose Stohler. He was a graduate of Warwick High School and had served in the U.S. Army in Germany where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He had worked for Warner-Lambert. He was a member of the Lebanon VFW Post #23, and was a former Elizabeth Township Supervisor. He is survived by daughters, Dr. Joyce M. Savage, Ill.; Charity Stohler-Finkin, Jonestown; brother, Louis Rose, Elizabethtown. Burial will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Harrisburg, Pa. The Clauser Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
