M. shabodeho@aol.com July 15, 2012, 3:59 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 23, 2012 LEBANON Michael James Torres, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in The Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Jamie L. (Schneck) Torres. He was born Tuesday, October 27, 1981, in Hershey, to Julio Torres and Ginger (Hylton) Krissinger. He was a loyal employee of ASK Foods, Inc. in Palmyra, where he worked as a kitchen cook. He was a member of Gods Missionary Church in Lebanon, enjoyed camping, biking, and any activity outdoors. Most of all he loved his family and cherished being a husband and father, and spending time with his entire family. His huge smile and zest for life will be missed by many. He is survived by eight children, Dylan Torres, Devon Dove, Kiera Torres- Weise, Austin Torres, Joshua Shiner, and Brianna, Madison, and Jayden Schneck; siblings, Julio Torres and companion, Marcie, Nelson Torres and wife, Vickie, Mary Torres, Lillian Torres-Robles and husband, Steven, Julia Hilliard and husband, Daniel, Kristina Patches and husband, Jeffrey, Jr., Kasey Hoyer and companion, Misty, and Matthew Krissinger; step-father, Kenneth Krissinger, Jr.; uncle, Joseph Hylton and wife, Brenda; aunts, Dreama Miller and husband, Michael, and Lisa Scaife and husband, Kevin; eight nieces; and seven nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Torres; maternal grandparents, James and Alberta Hylton; and an aunt, Jacquetta Helms. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Barry Arnold officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 6 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Lung Association, Washington, DC.
