She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Frank Troutman, who died June 1, 1988, and to whom she was married for over 40 years. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by siblings, Earl Zechman, Charles Zechman, Mabel (Zechman) Troutman, Lester Zechman, Edith (Zechman) Harnish, and infant Harvey Zechman. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown, and also attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church while residing in Middletown. Elsie enjoyed music, flowers, reading, sewing, and spending time with family pets, Skip, Franki, Bubbles, and Boomer.
