"Joe" Troutman, 91, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice. He was the husband of Hattie Sites Troutman who died June 20, 2005. Born in West Lawn on October 3, 1920, he was a GM Master Technician and an Oldsmobile dealer in Myerstown for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Wilson High School and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute, beginning his career as a draftsman for Gilbert Associates in Reading. Joe was a U.S. Army-Air Force veteran of WWII serving in California and Hawaii. He was a member of Williamson Lodge #307, a 33rd degree Mason in the Reading Lodge of Perfection. He was a 66 year member of the Richland American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a life member of BPO Elks in Lebanon. Surviving is a daughter, Harriet, wife of James Faren of Lebanon; grandchildren, Stephanie Faren, wife of Mark Christopher of Boulder, Colo., and John Faren, husband of Angela Faren of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Thomas Keene Christopher and Katherine Ann Christopher both of Boulder, Colo. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in St. John's Host Cemetery, Tulpehocken Twp., Berks County. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, Lebanon, PA 17042. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
