  PALMYRA Ruth Ellen Wachter, 81, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012. Born 
  December 24, 1930, in Lebanon, daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Reigle) 
  Reed. Ruth retired from James River Corporation in Easton. Surviving are her 
  children, Janelle Kercher of Mesa, Ariz., and Stephen Wachter of Hummelstown; 
  brothers, Frederick Reed and wife, Monica of Crestview, Fla., and Frank Reed 
  and wife, Barbara of Lebanon; four grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren. 
  No services will be held at the family's request. Interment will be private at 
  the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may 
  be made to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or the Palmyra Nursing Home.
