  MYERSTOWN Elmer P. Weaver, Jr., died Sunday, April 29, 2012.  Elmer P. Weaver, 
  Jr. of 248 Long Road, Myerstown, PA passed away peacefully after a lengthy 
  illness at the StoneRidge Retirement Home in Myerstown on Sunday at 7:05 P.M. 
  Mr. Weaver was born November 22, 1931 in Lancaster County, PA., being the 
  oldest son of the late Elmer P. and Emma D. Zink Weaver, Sr. Elmer married 
  Martha Rohrer Groff on June 25, 1950.  Elmer was active most of his life in 
  Mennonite Spanish mission work. He helped in forming a Spanish Mennonite 
  mission church at Bridgeport in Lancaster, PA. His lifelong interest and 
  concern for the Hispanic community touched many lives. For seven years he 
  served as pastor at the Good Shepherd Spanish Mennonite Church on East King 
  Street in Lancaster. He was also very much involved in foreign Spanish 
  missions in Central America, and in the Dominican Republic.   Elmer is 
  survived by four sons, E. Paul (Miriam) Weaver, III, of Myerstown, PA; David 
  L. (Marlene) Weaver, of Robesonia, PA; Timothy E. (Carolyn) Weaver, of 
  Robesonia, PA; James C. (Twila) Weaver, of Fall Creek, WI; and four daughters, 
  Martha Rose, wife of the late David K. Weaver, of Lena, WI; Mary Ann, wife of 
  Arlin D. Miller, of Buffalo, MO; Elizabeth, wife of Leon Horst of Leetonia, 
  OH; Rachel, wife of Llewellyn J. Miller of Doniphan, MO; three brothers , 
  Leslie (Elsie) Weaver of Harrisonburg, VA; Melvin (Norma) Weaver, of 
  Lancaster, PA; John Weaver of Hobe Sound, FL; and three sisters, Ruth, wife of 
  Kenneth Mellinger of Willow Street, PA, Shirley, wife of Homer B. Boll, 
  Lebanon, PA; and Darlene, wife of the late James L. Boll, of East Flat Gap, 
  KY.   Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his wife Martha; a son, Daniel H. 
  Weaver; his parents, Elmer P. and Emma D. Zink Weaver, Sr., a sister, 
  Elizabeth; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Funeral services 
  will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Swatara Mennonite 
  Church, Myerstown , PA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing 
  is scheduled from 2 - 4 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the 
  Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown, PA. 17067. Grose 
  Funeral Home, Myerstown, is entrusted with the arrangements.
