Werner, 86, formerly of Gretna Springs, died Monday, August 27, 2012, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jeanette K. Weik Werner. He was born in Wernersville, on March 20, 1926, a son of the late Claude Werner and Betsy M. Watkins Wengert. Harold was a retired employee of Cleaver-Brooks in Lebanon. He later was employed by the Lebanon Library and the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Harold volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing bingo and completing puzzles and in his younger years he loved to golf and fish. He is survived by son, Michael, husband of Dawn Werner of Lebanon; daughter, Lori, wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Sholly of Quentin; grandsons, Michael Werner, Jr. of Lebanon and Alexander Koger of California; and stepgrandson, Thad Sholly of Ebenezer. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 10, at 11 a.m. in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
