  Franklin A. Wetzel Sr. 
    
  MYERSTOWN Franklin A. Wetzel, Sr., passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at Cedar 
  Haven. He was the husband of Betty L. Whary Wetzel with whom he celebrated 
  their 59th wedding anniversary on February 21, 2012. He was born in Gowen 
  City, on November 15, 1929, son of the late William H. and Laura Elsie Long 
  Wetzel. He was a retired self- employed photographer. He was a member of 
  Messiah Lutheran Church, Lebanon, and the East Sunbury Hose Co #1. Surviving, 
  in addition to his wife, are children, F. Arthur Wetzel of Palmyra, William 
  I., husband of Patricia Wetzel of Lebanon, Rebecca A. Wetzel of Norcross, Ga., 
  John Edward, husband of Theresa Wetzel of Pennsylvania, and L. Anjennette 
  Sanders of Connecticut; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 
  brother, Grant Wetzel of Shamokin. Family and friends are respectfully invited 
  to attend Franklin's memorial service Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 5 p.m. from 
  Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 Oak St., Lebanon, with the Rev. Barry S. Kendall 
  officiating. Friends will be received at the church beginning Tuesday at 4 
  p.m. Arrangements entrusted to James A. Porterfield, Ruffner-Porterfield 
  Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon.
