She was the wife of Harold E. White, to whom she was married 16 years on May 4. Born in Lebanon, on September 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edgar M., Sr. and Elsie M. (Bressler) Henry. A 1956 graduate of Lebanon High School, she was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Lebanon. She was previously employed as a teller at Northwest Savings Bank, Lebanon, for 4 years before she retired and was previously employed as a jury attendant at the Lebanon County Courthouse and as a secretary at Michter's Distillery in Schaefferstown. She taught English as a Second Language and was a past president of the Mrs. Jaycees. She completed the Dale Carnegie Course where she earned the title "most improved" and fought a courageous battle with leukemia. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Judy wife of Wade Gettle of Myerstown, Jeanne widow of Bob Hyypio of Myerstown; sons, Jeffrey husband of Yang Petry of Thailand, Jerold husband of Gina Petry of California; step daughter, Terri wife of Tom Carlock of Harrisburg; step son, Gary husband of Sandra White of Palmyra; brother, Robert husband of Rachel Henry of Lebanon; grandchildren, Wade Gettle, Jr., Stephanie Frantz, Hanna Hyypio, and Jack, Jenna, Kamlai, and Jessie Petry; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Gettle, Scout and Hope Frantz; step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Emily White; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Edgar Henry, Jr., Harold Henry, Stanley Henry, and sisters, Betty Brandt and June Snook. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
