M. shabodeho@aol.com August 18, 2012, 8:34 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 17, 2012 LEBANON William Monroe Wilson, 90, passed away in Manor Care, Lebanon on Wednesday. He was the husband of the late Catherine "Cass" Wilson who passed away in 1992. He was born in Rocky, Oklahoma, a son of the late Ernest J.M. and Lois McClure Wilson. Mr. Wilson was employed by Cornwall Ore Mines until they were closed by the flood in 1972. He then went to work for Bethlehem Steel for more than 30 years until his retirement in October 1983. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star. He was a member of the V.F.W. and St. Matthew's Lutheran Evangelical Church, Lebanon. Surviving are his stepson, Dale, husband of Yvonne Bord, Lebanon; step-grandchildren, Wendy Sue Hamer of Elizabethtown and Shawn Michael, husband of Jennifer Bord, Hummelstown; step great-grandson, Anthony Nolan King. William has two brothers, Kenneth Malone and James Wilson; five sisters, Doris Scanlin, Catherine Ann Wilson, Ruth Eblin, Bonnie, Irene. A Funeral Service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa., 17042 on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
