  Lillian W. Wittle 
  
  LEBANON Lillian W. Wittle, 85, of Lebanon, formerly of Columbia, died 
  peacefully, Sunday, February 12, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter 
  of the late Frank William and Mae Ellen Sheckard Wood. Lillian was the wife of 
  Joseph K. Wittle, who died Januray 9, 2010. She was a Registered Nurse for 
  Lancaster General Hospital and the former Columbia Hospital. She attended 
  Greenville South Carolina Nurses Training and Penn State University. Lillian 
  was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church, Columbia; where she was a 
  choir member. Earlier in life she was a member of the Columbia Church of God; 
  where she was a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, youth group supervisor, 
  and assistant financial secretary. Lillian enjoyed knitting and puzzles. 
  Lillian is survived by her daughters, Judy L. wife of Kenneth Shertzer of 
  Lebanon; Glenda W. wife of John Wilkinson of Manheim; her sister, Geraldine 
  Hoch of Barrington, R.I.; and her grandchildren; Amy wife of Alex Wolfe and 
  Gregory Shertzer. Lillian was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Messer, 
  Jane Bledsoe, and Marion Frey. A funeral service for Lillian will be held 
  Thursday from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, 
  at 11 a.m. (Viewing 10 to 11 a.m.) with Pastor Bryan Dever officiating. 
  Interment in Newtown Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
