M. shabodeho@aol.com August 9, 2012, 5:49 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on July 24, 2012 LANCASTER Pastor Barry A. Wolfe, 68, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of Rona M. Wolfe. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Allen and Alma Wolfe. In addition to his wife, Rona, he is survived by his daughter, Christina wife of Larry Hagen of Akron; and son, Jonathan Wolfe husband of Beth of Lancaster. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jory, Mason, Joshua, Ella, Olivia and Madison; and sisters, Nellie Raiger and Gloria Wentling of Palmyra. A brother, Russell Wolfe preceded him in death. A graduate of S. Lebanon High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Houghton College, New York. He graduated with a Masters in Divinity at Gordon Conwell Seminary in Massachusetts. He served the following six United Methodist Church churches: Byfield, Mass., Lincoln St., Shamokin, Asbury, Allentown, Hope, Ephrata, First, Lancaster, and Grace UM, Millersville. He retired in 2008 from Grace United Methodist of Millersville. He loved serving the Lord in many ministries like Bridge of Hope, Compassion Int., and Big Brothers to name a few. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Grace United Methodist Church, 163 W. Frederick St., Millersville, on Saturday, July 28th at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Laughlin and the Rev. James B. Todd officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, July 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday immediately following the Memorial Service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Lancaster County, Lancaster, Pa.
