She was raised on a farm in a rural United Methodist Church community of Dayton, Md., and was the widow of the Harry M. Yingst who died in 2002. Born in Dayton, Md., on February 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edgar T. and Lillian L. Ricketts Johnson. She was employed in private industry as a key punch operator. Mary was a graduate of Clarksville High School, Clarksville, Md. She was a very caring and independent spirit and never wanted to be an imposition on anyone or anything. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar M. Johnson and a sister, Helen V. Doheny. Committal services and interment will be held on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald D. Miller officiating. No viewing or visitation. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, Myerstown, PA. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
