    LEBANON Helen F. Zahurak, 90, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at home. She 
    was the wife of the late Bartholomew A. Zahurak, Sr. Born in Lebanon, on 
    December 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Jozef M. and Mary 
    (Zednekovic) Krizan. She was a member of St. Benedict The Abbot Church, 
    Lebanon, where she was active with their fundraising activities. She was also a 
    member of the Senior Center in Lebanon. Helen was proud to have served in the 
    military under the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC). Most of all, she was 
    proud of the children she and her husband so lovingly raised. Those who knew 
    her know that she was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She 
    is survived by five children, Bart A. Zahurak, Jr., Robert C. Zahurak, Susan M. 
    Zahurak, wife of Russell Becker, Lea R., wife of Harold Stouffer, and Jane H. 
    Zahurak; a granddaughter, Samantha G. Becker; and a stepgranddaughter, 
    Veronica, wife of Mark Ciavarella. She was preceded in death by four brothers, 
    John, Frank, Joseph, and Paul Krizan; and two sisters, Anne Babe and Mary 
    Hubert. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict The Abbot Church, 1300 
    Lehman St., Lebanon. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing Tuesday morning 
    from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may 
    be made to St. Benedict's Church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with 
    the arrangements.
