(Harnish) Zechman, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, of natural causes at her residence. She was the wife of Herbert Zechman. She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Harnish. Born in Lower Heidelberg Twp., she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Emma M. (Gelsinger) Ohlinger. Lillian was a 1949 graduate of Robesonia High School. She was a dairy farmer, partnering with her late husband and son for 48 years at the family business of Danvale Farms. She was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren. She and her husband Herbert were trip planners for the Blue Mountain 50+ Club for 11 years. She was a Sunday school teacher for 35 years at Altalaha Lutheran Church, was active in the PA Farmers Assoc. for many years, and she enjoyed traveling, baking, driving tractors, and having flowers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Daryl L. Harnish, husband of Debra (Mohn); a sister, Laura Boeshore; three stepsons, Larry Zechman, Jeffrey Zechman, and Gregory Zechman; a stepdaughter, Audrey Zartman; two grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Harnish; eight step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by brothers, Norman and Elwood Ohlinger; and sisters, Elsie Forry, Edith Ulrich, and Arlene Heck. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, with the Rev. Robert W. Krouse officiating. Interment will be at Altalaha Church Cemetery, Rehrersburg. Friends are invited to call Monday 10 to 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Reading, PA.
