MANBECK CALLED After two years of suffering, fourteen months of which he was confined to his bed, William Manbeck, of Mt. Aetna, passed this life early Wednesday morning. Tuberculosis of the intestines is said to have been his ailment, the nature of which occasioned him excruciating pain. Eminent physicians and surgeons from Philadelphia were called in attendance and a number of operations were performed about six months ago, and thereafter the surgeons pronounced him incurable. Until his death he was under the care of Dr. W. G. Bower, of this place. Deceased was aged 38 years and is survived by his widow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Olewine, of this place, besides his mother, two brothers and three sisters. He was a member of the Independent Order of Americans of this place. Several months prior to his demise Mr. Manbeck arranged his funeral and his desires will be fully carried out. Among the requests was that Isaac N. Bahney, funeral director of this place, should have charge of his remains and prepare same for burial. The funeral likewise, will be held as stipulated and will take place on Tuesday forenoon. Services will be conducted at **** Reformed church by Rev. P*eu*** and interment will be made on cemetery adjoining. Myerstown Enterprise, August 16, 1907
