DIED OF CROUP

  Grim-reaper death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Spannuth, 
residing near Rehersburg on Monday and took from the family circle their 
interesting eight-year old son Michael.  Although the boy had a cold, he 
attended school during last week and on Saturday croup manifested itself 
growing worse until death intervened.  Dr. A. S. Reiter of this place, was 
called in consultation with Dr. Tryon, of Rehersburg, the attending 
physician, but their efforts proved of no avail.  The death of Michael has 
been a sad blow to the parents as well as the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. 
Michael Kurr all of whom have the sympathy of the community in which they 
reside as well as their many friends from this place who are familiarly 
acquainted with the parents who until last Spring resided here.
