MRS. MARIA UMBERGER

  Mrs. Daniel Umberger, aged about 75 years, wife of a retired coach-maker 
and a highly respected resident of Jonestown, died on Tuesday evening, at 
her home, of apoplexy, after a short illness.
  Deceased is survived by a husband and five children:  Alexander Umberger, 
who resides in the west, John Umberger, Mrs. Valentine Kremer and an 
unmarried daughter, of Jonestown and Mrs. Walter, wife of H. G. Walter, 
landlord of the United States hotel, this city.
  Deceased was a life-long resident of Jonestown, where she was well and 
favorably known. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and was 
respected by all who enjoyed her acquaintance.  She was a faithful and 
consistent member of the Lutheran church.
