The Allentown Leader May 11, 1897
Five Generations In One Family. In the family of James Hoffman, tenant on the
farm of Mrs. Benjamin Rupp, near Ruppsville, Upper Macungie Township, are now
living five generations of one family, in direct descend: Hannah, widow of the
late Dewalt Kuhns, 88 years old; Matthias Kuhns, her son, 70 years old; Mrs.
 Martha Hoffman, daughter of Matthias, 40 years old; Mrs. Oscar Muthart,
daughter of Mrs. Hofman, 25 years old; and a baby daughter of Mrs. Muthart, 2
weeks old.
