    95. Will of Christopher Merckel of Macungie Tp Northampton Co (2 full pages in German)
    Gives to wife Anna Christina 2 beds & bedding etc
    Gives to son Jacob Merkel his plantation of 200 A in Macungie Tp & 2 hired men, as indentured. He to
  pay £50 in one yr.
    Gives Magdalena his sister wife of Peter Barr
    Gives Catherine his sister wife of Peter Barr

    To Salome, still unmarried
    Appoints son Jacob & Peter Barr Sr, son in law to be Exrs Dated Oct 25, 1806.  Christopher Merckel
  (Christofel Merkel) Witnesses: Jonathan Krauss Johannes Lichtenwallner. Above read to me by Mr Weaver.
          On Jany 21, 1809, he makes a codicil in English & recites that he is of Macungie Tp., still
  Northampton Co.
    Gives to his "two grant children" children of my daughter Catherine intermarried with Peter Barr, the
  younger £200 ie £2l00 to be pd to my oldest grant daughter Mary Barr in 17 yrs after May 27, 1809 & £100
  to the youngest of my grant daughters Judick Barr to be pd in 9 yrs after above date, but if they should
  die without issue, same to go to his son Jacob Markel.  States that Catherine's husband Peter Barr is
  since deceased.
          On Nov 28, 1809, he makes another codicil, still giving residence as same & naming himself as
  Christopher Merckel this codicil also in English states that in his will he had given to his three
  daughters to wit:
    To my daughter Magdalena wife of Peter Barr £450
    To my daughter Mariah, wife of Michael Peter £450
    To my daughter Salome now wife of John Kiestler £450
    Provides lighter liquidation for his son. Jacob Merckel signed in German Proven July 31, 1813.

  Co on bond for $5000 Estate net was $1900 odd.

    To son Geo A. Merkel watch chain & studs & life estate in lots

    Gives her $2000 due him fr her husband Chas R. Fluck. Appoints son Geo A. Merkel & dau Julia R. Fluck

    99. Will of Henry Merkel of South Whitehall Tp To my granddaughter Lilly Kehm $125 & balance of estate
  to be divided equally between his six children, Frank, Henry, Peter & Edwin Merkle & Hattie, wife of
  George Stettler & Eliza, wife of Lucingus Sell.  Appoints sons Edwin & Peter Exrs.  Dated Jany 10, 1921.

    101. Will of Edwin C. Merkel To Fairview Cem Asscn of Allentown Pa $50 to keep grave in condition.
    Estate to be divided into 5 shares & gives:
    To sister Tevilla Kuhns wife of Wm Kuhns Fogelsville Pa 1 sh
    To sister Anna Heiberger, wife of Adam Heiberger of Bethlehem Pa 1 sh
    To sister Alice George, wife of Daniel George of Allentown Pa 1 sh

    102. Will of Margaret Merkel States that she is a widow.  Directs body be interred with rites of
  Lutheran Ch in Union Cem, Allentown Pa & order a tombstone similar to that at grave of her husband in
  same lot.
    Bequeaths estate to her Exrs in trust to care

    After her death if anything is left it is to be divided between my three remaining daughters, Ella,
  Flora & Gertrude equally.

    103. Will of Reuben Markel Gives wife Lavina C. income of estate for life & after her death estate to
