This Bible was in the possession of Mrs.Harmon, Beach Haven, Luzerne
County, Pa., in the 1960's.
The BITTENBENDER family resided in Salem and Nescopeck Twps.

Jacob Bittenbender was born 26 March 1778 and married Anna Maria Harter
Aug. 1, 1800, who was born May 10, 1783.

Anna Maria, born Nov. 21, 1806
Lydia, born Jan. 22, 1809
William, born Feb. 23, 1811
Dorodea, born Sept. 23, 1813
Stephenus, born Apr. 19, 1815
Jonas, born Aug. 10, 1817
Johannes, born Aug. 30, 1820
Sara Ann, born Feb. 6, 1823
Conrad, born Mar. 16, 1826
Eliza, born Jan. 18, 1829

Jacob Bittenbender married second Catherine Dietrich, who was born
Whitmire.  Catherine W.D.B. born 3-1-1795 married J.B. as her second
husband Oct. 12, 1829.  One son Elias, born, Feb. 2, 1834.
