Kinston Free Press October 26, 1905
Wilkesbarre, Pa., Oct. 25 -- A masked burglar broke into the residence of Mrs. 
Robert PEARSON, at Hudson, during the night, ill-treated, bound, gagged and robbed 
her, and got away safely.  She was asleep with her two children when the burglar 
seized her hair, pulled out a handful, twisted her head around, and thrusting a 
revolver in her face, threatened to kill her and the children if she did not tell 
him and he secured $56.  Still threating her, he tore a sheet into strips, bound 
her limbs and gagged her.  She fainted during this operation, and when she 
recovered he had gone. The police as yet have not clue.
