She was born in Hazleton, her maiden name being Mary Kahler. She was married in Hazleton to James Cruthers, who preceded her in death at West Hazleton about fifteen years ago. The family lived at Eckley for many years. Mrs. Cruthers was a member of St. James Episcopal church at Drifton, and was respected and highly esteemed by all who knew her. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Birbeck, of Coxeville, with whom she made her home, she is survived by one brother, George Kahler, of West Hazleton. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with interment in the Mountain View cemetery. At Coxeville, Beaver Meadow, Mary Cruthers, aged 71. Funeral Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the home of her son-in-law, James Birbeck, Coxeville, Beaver Meadow. Funeral will leave via automobile for Hazleton, with interment in Mt.
