Mr. Eckhart was born at Saylor’s Corners, Plainsville, and was widely known in that section. He had been employed for many years as an artesian well driller. He was a devout member of Plains M.E. church and was affiliated with Pittston lodge, F. & A.M. Surviving are his widow, and the following sons, Harry, Coaldale; Benjamin, Plains; Peter, West Pittston; George, Wyoming, and one sister, Mrs. David ROBERTSON, city. The funeral will be held from the home of his son, 2 Charles street, Plains, on Monday afternoon at 2. Interment will be in West Pittston cemetery.
