Mrs. Elizabeth C. Rahl, 17 Main St., Luzerne, died Monday afternoon in Nesbitt
Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient five days. Born in Gelnica,
Czechoslovakia, she came to this country at an early age settling in Kingston
prior to moving to Luzerne where she resided 53 years. Mrs. Rahl was a member of
St. John's Church, Luzerne, and an officer of the Altar and Rosary Society and
Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are her husband, Emil; daughter, Mrs.
Clare Rahl Dlugosh, at home; grand-daughter, Mary Clare, at home; sister, Wilma
Androsinova, Czechoslovakia. Funeral will be from the Lehman Funeral Home, 281
Chapel St., Swoyersville, Friday at 9 with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. John's
Church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call
Wednesday 7 to 10 and Thursday 2 to 4 and to 10. Altar and Rosary Society and
Third Order of St. Francis will recite the Rosary Thursday at 8.
