Hazleton Standard-Speaker Fri, May 23, 1919

After an illness of four months with dropsy, Peter Reimold, Sr., one of
Hazleton's oldest and esteemed citizens, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Catherine Gallup, 10 East Diamond avenue. He was born in Germany, Oct. 4, 1833,
and came to this country about fifty years ago. His wife preceded him in death
fifteen years ago and since that time he has made his home with his daughter,
Mrs. Gallup. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Elias Knerim,
Dunmore, Pa.; Mrs. Ira Handwerk, Northampton, Pa.; Mrs. Catherine Gallup, Conrad
and Peter Reimold, Jr. of Hazleton. Nineteen grandchildren and one great-
grandchild also survive him. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock,
with interment in the Vine street cemetery.
