First, I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executrix as soon as convenient after my death. Second, I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Anna S Fernau, all my estate absolutely and forever - be the same real, personal or mixed. And lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my said wife, Anna S Fernau, sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In Witness Whereof, I, the said Adam Fernau, have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of February A.D. 1898. ADAM FERNAU, (seal) Signed, sealed, published and declared by the testator, Adam Fernau, as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. PHILIP V WEAVER JOHN WILHELM Date of Death - 8th day of December A.D. 1917. Registrer's Office, Wilkes Barre, Pa., 4th Jan 1918. Luzerne County, ss:- This day before me W.E Morgan,Register of Wills in and for county aforesaid personally came John Wilhelm, one of the subscribing witnesses to the above and foregoing last will and testament of Adam Fernau, late of Hazleton City, Luzerne Co, State of Pennsylvania, dec'd, who being duly sworn according to law, says he was present and saw and heard Adam Fernau, the testator, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament, and that at the time of signing he was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge and belief, and that he did sign his name as subscribing witness in the presence of Philip V Weaver and in the presence and at the request of the said testator. JOHN WILHELM. Sworn and subscribed before me the day and year above written. Wm. E. Morgan,Register; John Kemp, Deputy Register's Office, Wilkes Barre, Pa., 4th January 1918, Luzerne County, ss:- This day before me, Wm. E. Morgan,Register of Wills in and for the county aforesaid, personally came Edward J Gormley, of Hazleton city, Penn'a, who being duly sworn according to law, says he was well acquainted with Philip V. Weaver, late a resident of the City of Hazleton, State of Penn'a, dec'd, that he is familiar with the handwriting of the said Philip v Weaver, having frequently seen him write his own name as well as other matters that the said Philip V. Weaver is now deceased; that he has carefully examined the signature Philip V. Weaver to the aforesaid last will and testament dated the 14th day of February A.D. 1898, and verily believes the same to be in the own proper handwriting of the said Philip V. Weaver. EDWARD J. GORMLEY Sworn and subscribed before me the day and year above written. Wm. E. Morgan, Register; John Kemp, Deputy And, Now, to Wit:- 4th day of January A.D. 1918, having considered the testimony offered in this case and filed the same of record, I do adjudge the foregoing writing to be duly proved as the last will and testament of the said Adam Fernau, now deceased, and as such I do enter the same of record according to law. Smith, Deputy Luzerne County, ss:- In accordance with the foregoing Will and the probate thereof, letters testamentary thereon, on the 4th day of January A.D 1918, were granted unto Anna S Fernau, the executrix therein named, she having first been duly sworn to well and truly administer the goods and chatttels, rights and credits which were of the said deceased according to law.
