Conrad Lutz of the township of Providence, Luzerne County and commonwealth of Pennsylvania, farmer, who being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do dispose of my worldly estate and interest in manner following that is to say, I give and bequeath unto my son Jacob Lutz fifty dollars I give and bequeath unto my son Michael Lutz ten dollars, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Lutz ten dollars; I give and bequeath unto my daughter Barbara, the wife of Thomas Martin one dollar; I give and bequeath unto my granddaughters, Mary Martin and Nancy Martin fifteen dollars each, to be paid with interest as they respectively shall come of age. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Woods ten dollars and I hereby make chargeable for the payment of the before mentioned bequests and legacies, all and singular the farm whereon I now dwell situate in Providence aforesaid, and part of lot number thirty one in the said township and to be paid one year after my decease by my executors. And whereas my grandson Peter Stevens is indebted to me the sum of forty dollars I therefore when the same shall be collected and paid over to my executors bequeath the same to my daughter Elizabeth Stevens, mother of the said Peter Stevens; I also give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved wife Anna Maria for and during the continuance of her natural life, the use of the house and garden and one third part of the farm before mentioned for her sole use and benefit and after her decease to desend as is hereinafter expressed. And I also give unto my said wife my household furniture, utensils and implements in husbandry, stock of horses, mares, geldings and colts, neat? cattle as cows, calves, heifers, stears and oxen, as also sheep and swine, the same to be at her own disposal. And further I hereby give and devise unto my son John Lutz and to his heirs and assigns forever, all my said farm situate in Providence aforesaid and known as a part of lot no. thirty one, where I now dwell, with all the privileges advantages hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging but subject to the life estate of my said wife, of the house, garden and one third part of said farm, and also to the payments as before described of the several legacies or sums of money to be paid to my said sons Jacob, Michael and Henry to my daughters Barbara and Mary and to my granddaughters Mary and Nancy and which amounts together to one hundred and eleven dollars and as to whatever debts may be due to me on books, notes, bills, bonds, or other contracts, my will is that they be collected by my executors and if sufficient thereat to pay my just debts, funeral expenses and proving of this my will and the surplice if any to be paid to my said wife for her own use and benefit. And I hereby nominate and appoint my said son John Lutz and Joseph Fellows of Providence aforesaid executors to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. For witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six.
