  Jacob Smith, aged 17 years, and Lydia Hammer, aged 16, created a 
sensation in DuBoistown, their home, by eloping on Wednesday of last 
week.  Smith saved Miss Hammer from a watery grave last summer and, 
naturally enough, they fell in love with each other and felt that they 
couldn't live apart.
