He had undergone surgery last Saturday. The deceased was born September 13, 1923 in Farmers Valley and was well known and respected. He was an employe (sic) of the General Crushed Stone Company of Smethport. He is survived by his father; two sisters, Mrs. Grant Love of Farmers Valley and Mrs. Fred Gustafson of Smethport; three brothers, Carl and Archie Berg of Smethport and Pvt. Robert Berg of Nashville, Tenn. Funeral arrangements are not yet completed. Rev. H. H. Atkins, pastor, officiated. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were Pfc. Robert Berg of Nashville, Tenn.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nordine, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nordine, Miss Hazel Nordine and Floyd Nordine of Jamestown.
