Blairsville Enterprise  Fri, Mar 20, 1885
March 4, 1885, Edward Riffle, of Big Shanty, McKean county, Pa., while engaged
in working on a drilling well at Maxburg, O., accidentally fell into the cable
on the bull wheel shaft while pulling tools and was instantly killed. He leaves
a wife, two small children and a host of friends to mourn his loss and sudden
taking off. He was beloved by all who knew him...
