These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ George Cameron File W O 1673---State of Pennsylvania, County of Mercer, On this 14 day of November 1850 appeared George Cameron aged 66 years a resident of Mercer County, in State of Pennsylvania declares that he is the identical George Cameron who was a volunteer in the company commanded by Captain Peter Stilley in the regiment of militia, commanded by Col John Roys in the war with Great Britain declared by the United States on the 18 day of June 1812. That he was draughted at Allegheny Co. on or about the 3rd February A.D. 1813 term of 6 months and was honorable discharged Pittsburgh on the 3rd or 4th day of March 1813 furthermore on the 18th Nov. he volunteered for 6 months under Capt. Stilley Regiment commanded by Col. James Johnson. Discharged Beaford, Penn in the winter of 1814 Honorably discharged but have no certificate on discharge. signed Geo # Camron Sworn to and subscribed before me the day and year above written. And I hereby certify, that I believe the said George Cameron to be the identical man who performed the military service aforesaid, and be of the age above stated. signed D. D.
