Jacob Hummell, Col. Werrick State of Pennsylvania, County of Mercer ss On this 13th day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty personally appeared before me, a justice of the peace, within and for the county and State aforesaid, Daniel Geerhart aged 62 years, a resident of Mercer County in the State of Pennsylvania who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical Daniel Geerhart who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Jacob Hummel in the Militia commanded by Col. Warreck in the war with Great Britain declared by the United States on the 18th day of June 1812. That he was draughted at Northumberland county (inserted above County Point) on or about the 20th day of September A. D. 1813 for the term of three months and was honorably discharged at Philadelphia on or about the 20th day of December A. D. Took no care of his discharge after receiving his monthly pay- ___is lost. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty Land to which he may be entitled under the "Act granting Bounty Lands to certain officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the military service of the United States;" passed September 28, 1850. signed _ _ Daniel X (his mark) Geerhart Sworn to and subscribed before me the day above written. And I hereby certify, that I believe the said Daniel Geerhart to be the identical man who performed the military service aforesaid, and to be the age above stated. _Byers, Justice of the Peace 108.407 Aug. 11/51 State of Pennsylvania, County of Lawrence ss On this 24th day of April A. D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace within and for the County and State aforesaid, Daniel Geerhart aged 67 years, a resident of Mercer in the State of Pennsylvania who being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical Daniel Geerhart who was a Private in the company commanded by Captain Jacob Hummell in Militia commanded by Col. Weirick in the War with Great Britain declared by the United States on the 18th day of June, 1812, for the term of Three months and continued in actual service in said War for fourteen days; and that he has heretofore made application for bounty Land, under the Act of September 28th, 1850 and received a land warrant No. ___for 40 acres, which he has since legally disposed of, and cannot return. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the additional Bounty land to which he may be entitled under the Act approved the 3rd day of March, 1855. He also declares that he has never applied for, nor received, under this or any other Act of congress, any Bounty Land Warrant except the one above mentioned. signed Daniel X (his mark) Geerhart WE, James F.
