Thorn was 44 years of age and unmarried. He was born at Leesburg, Mercer county. Some time ago he was employed at the Wayside Inn, in the Seventh ward. Subsequently he went to Sharon, taking a position at the Carver House. The immediate survivors of the bereavement are a brother and sister, B. F. Thorn of the Seventh ward, this city, and Mrs. John Alexander, of Mercer. The interment took place at Mercer at 3 o'clock this afternoon. New Castle News, New Castle, Pa., September 18, 1901
