The cemetery is very overgrown, but the farmer from the adjacent farm mows around it once or twice a season. There are 6 headstones as follows: 1. Z. Ruth PEFFER Born May 25, 1898 Died Jan 1, 1899 Headstone is made of concrete and has a decorative leave and branch above the name. Footstone has no writing and is of concrete also. This headstone is very readable. This cemetery has been transcribed by others. On one the nemae "Zeph PEFFER" appears. The above transcription is clear and easily read. 2. Isabella DIXON Died March 18, 1864 aged 38 years (may be 58, but I think it is 38) years, 5 mos, and 10 days Footstone - I.D. 3. Mary M. DIXON Died Jan 28, 1884 aged 62 years and 20 days Footstone - M.M.D. 4. Martin DIXON Died Sept 11, 1851 aged 40 years, 10 mo. and 3 days 5. Eleanor DIXON Died May 20th, 1872 aged 68 years, 3 mo. and 18 days 6. In Memory of Elias W. DIXON (I don't know if this means he is not buried here) Died July 3, 1893 aged 77years and 3 mo. Elias W. DIXON use to own a portion of the farm now owned by the ARMSTRONG's which is down the road if you continue past the cemetery. Elias built the first red barn you come to thereon. There is a cornerstone on the building which has "E.W.D. 1846" (or at least I remember it as being 1846, it has been a few years since I looked at it.) My father told me he was told that Elias built this barn at about age 25. Stop by my genealogy webpage at: http://www.erols.com/genesearch
