Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church built in 1832.  Property for church was 
bought from Owen Owens.  Owen Owens came from Middletown in 1929.  He became the 
first Lock Tender of the Pa. Canal in our area.  Mr.Owens named our community 
Lockport. The year 2017, we will celebrate 185th years as a congregation.
