John Zook to Peter Derr This Indenture, made this thirteenth day of May Eighteen hundred and fifteen by and between John Zook of Union township Miffiin County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part, and Peter Derr of the said township of the other part, Witnesseth that the said John Zook for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty Dollars to him paid by the said Peter Derr the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied and the said Peter Derr his heirs and assigns therefrom and forever acquiteth and discharge, has granted bargained sold delivered released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell deliver release and confirm unto the said Peter Derr his heirs and assigns a certain piece or parcel of land in Union township aforesaid bounded as follows, viz. Beginning at a white oak and thence by land of said John Zook North forty two degrees West thirty perches to a chesnut thence South fifty seven degrees West twenty eight perches to stones thence South thirty three degrees East forty one and a half perches to Stones thence North thirty seven Degrees East thirty four and a half perches to the place of Beginning containing Six Acres and sixty eight perches be the same more or less together with the usual allowance of six per cent for roads (Being part of a tract of land which was surveyed to John Reed in pursuance of a Warrant dated the blank day of blank Seventeen hundred and blank and to whom a Patent issued for the same dated the eighteenth day of February Seventeen hundred and ninety four and the said John Reed and mary his wife by their conveyance dated the sixteenth day of May Seventeen hundred and ninety four conveyed the same to John Hartzler who with Anna his wife who by their conveyance dated the twenty sixth day of February Seventeen hundred and ninety six conveyed the same to the said John Zook as in and by the instruments of writing herein mentioned recourse thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear) Together with all and singular the Buildings Improvements, Ways, Woods, Waters, Watercourses Rights Liberties Privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and remainders Rents issues and profit thereof and all the estate, Right, title, interest, property claim and demand of him the said John Zook either at law or in equity of, in, to, or, out of, the above described premises or any part thereof To Have and to Hold the above mentioned premises with the appurtenances to the said Peter Derr to and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Peter Derr his heirs and assigns forever, And the said John Zook doth further covenant promise and agree to and with the said Peter Derr that he the said John Zook the above granted premises to the said Peter Derr, against him the said John Zook and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whom soever lawfully claiming or to claim by through from or under him them or any or either of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimony whereof the said John look has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Jacob Zug, James Wills John Zook Received on the date of the within written Indenture of the therein named Peter Derr the sum of Sixty dollars being the consideration money therein mentioned Present James Wills John Zook
