Lewistown Sentinel - May 23,  2023
Jesse A. Alexander, 83, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at
Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Aug. 7, 1939, in Honey Brook, he was the son of the late Jesse A. Alexander
and Bertha (Fike) Alexander Kauffman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Gloria Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia L. (Matter) Alexander; children,
David W. Alexander and wife, Patty, of Waynesboro, and Jeanette L. Alexander, of
Harrisburg
He was a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
He entered the United States Army and served from 1958-1961, where he received the
Good Conduct Medal for distinguishing himself from among his fellow soldiers with
his exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity.
Interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery
