Barbara Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc.
Miriam M. Bailey (Rearick), 90, of Mill Hall, passed away peacefully surrounded by
the love of her family on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Mount Nittany Medical
Center. Born May 11, 1933, in Port Matilda, she was the daughter of the late John
and Dorothy (Robison) Rearick. On July 2, 1971, she married Benjamin C. “Ben”
Bailey, who passed away in 2003.
Miriam is survived by four daughters from her first marriage to James Smith,
Beatrice K. “Bea” Bilger of Lewistown, Jamie L. Bower of Port Matilda, Kathy J.
Rockey of Milesburg, and Jennifer J. Smeltzer of Mill Hall; her and Ben’s son, Scott
A. Bailey of Centre Hall; one brother, Kenneth Rearick of Jersey Shore;
Along with her husband and parents, Miriam was preceded in death by one brother,
John Rearick; and two sisters, Marjorie Hoover and Patty Rearick.
Miriam will be laid to rest in the Grays Cemetery, Port Matilda.
