John D. Beaver, 93, of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at Geisinger
Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Mount Union, to the late John O. and Myrtle (Rutter)
Beaver. On July 16, 1955, he married Helen L. (Bucher) Beaver, who preceded him in
death on July 1, 2011. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death
by his siblings, Helen Brandt, Meril Winnick, Winston Beaver and three infant
sisters.
Surviving are children, Joyce L. Bauder of Lewistown, Sherry L. Zook of Lewistown
and Wayne O. Beaver of Centennial, Colo.as well as two sisters, Isophene Traxler of
Fayetteville, Pa.; Elanor Traxler of Lewistown; and a brother, Ray P. Beaver of
Denton, T.X.
John served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1949-1953.
Burial in Germany Valley Cemetery
