Lewistown Sentinel - May 8, 2023
James William Black, 82, of McClure, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at
Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Dec. 21, 1940, in Wyalusing, Pa., he was a son of the late Samuel F. Black II
and Sara Jeannette (McLaughlin) Black. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James W. Black Jr.
and his brother, Samuel F. Black III.
He is survived by: son, Daniel Lee Black and wife, Jennifer, of McClure; two
grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
He was a member of the National Guard and East Derry Fire Company.
Interment will take place at Wagner Cemetery, McClure.
