George W. Burdick

George W. Burdick, 94, of Yeagertown, passed away at 9:14 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6,
2023.
Born Feb. 22, 1929, in Yeagertown, he was the son of the late Michael W. and Marian
(Leeper) Burdick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Ann
Dempsey, his sister, Beverly Sellers, and the love of his life, Mary Lou “Louise”
(Burkholder) Burdick, whom he married on April 14, 1949.
George is survived by: his son, D. Chris Burdick, of Lewistown.
George served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 1950 to July 1954 during the Korean
Conflict. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
George was an active member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church. 
Interment in Lind Memorial Cemetery
