Mr. B. was well known through this region as a business man, scrupulously honest and upright in all his transactions, and died much regretted by all who knew him. Two years ago, he was elected to the office of Register, &c., the vacancy for which will now have to be filled by appointment of the Governor until the 1st day of December next, when the person who may be elected at the general election next month will take the office for three years.
