A week ago a German named John Boale was found wading about in the dam at Newton Hamilton by some of the citizens of that place. He was induced to come out of the water, when he was arrested and sent to Lewistown, where he was put in prison to prevent him from doing bodily harm to himself, as it was discovered that he was insane. On Saturday morning his lifeless body was found in his cell, he having during the night strangled himself to death with a towel. It is not known that he has any friends in this country.
