Booher, 68, of McVeytown, R.D. 1, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 1974 at his home after an extended illness. Born March 10, 1906 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County, he was the son of Samuel and Annie (Walls) Booher. He was twice married, first to the former Esther Hammon, who preceded in death in 1938, and on April 5, 1945 to the former Pearl Renninger, who survives. There is one son, Samuel Booher of McVeytown and one sister, Mrs. Mary Gamble of Chambersburg. The deceased was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church of Newton Hamilton. During his life, he had worked as a woodsman and had served three years with the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, from the Heath funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. Bruce Grove will officiate and interment will be made in the Pine Glen Cemetery, McVeytown, R.D.
