Joann G. Carper, 88, of Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at William
Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William and
Phyllis (Fluke) Snook. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by
her husband, Lester L. “Jim” Carper on March 3, 2021, and siblings, Barbara Haywood,
Larry Snook, and Gary Snook.
Joann is survived by her children, Nancy Russell, of San Antonio, T.X., Elaine Ross,
of Palmdale, Calif. and Gail Yoder of Reedsville.
Burial in Juniata Memorial Park
