Velva Fay Colyer, 88, of Burnham, passed away at 11:48 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2024,
at her home.
Born Feb. 9, 1936, in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Emma
(Freed) Mahoney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, Robert Earl Colyer I, whom she married Feb. 18, 1954, on Sept. 17, 2021,
two brothers, and a sister.
Velva is survived by: five children, Robert E. Colyer II of MO., Bruce A. Colyer of
Sunbury, Velva Tassa, of Lewistown, Raymond C. Colyer, of Lewistown, and Rosanna
Briggs of Burnham and sisters, Mary Lou Kitting of Lewistown, and Sarah Woodling, of
Beaver Springs.
Interment t Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
