Feb 20, 2024
Freeman L. Cromis Jr., 93, of West Milton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb.
15, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 3, 1930, in Washingtonville, he was the son of the late Freeman L., Sr.
and Arlye (Clements) Cromis. On May 20, 1952 he married the former Peggy R.
Thornburg and they celebrated 60 years of marriage until her death on June 7, 2012.
He enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for over 20 years.
Surviving are two daughters: Gay J. Marek of Lewistown and Sue C. Remaley of
Turbotville; a brother, James Cromis of Unityville; and a sister, Marilyn Taylor of
Danville.
Preceding him in death besides his wife, was an infant son, Tracy Cromis; and three
brothers: Harry “Bill” Cromis, Gerald “Butch” Cromis and Robert Cromis.
Burial in Church Hill Cemetery, West Milton
